Turkey is effectively waging a war against Syria and Iraq due to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s policies towards the two countries, says Stephen Lendman – American author and radio host. Erdogan has accused the U.S. of creating a “pool of blood” in the region due to its support of the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its military wing, People’s Protection Units (YPG), in an anti-Syrian speech on Wednesday. “Hey America! We know these [organizations] very well. But as you have never recognized them (as terror groups) the region has turned into a pool of blood,” Erdogan in one of his regular speeches to provincial officials at the Presidential Complex in Ankara. Presstv.com reports: A day earlier, Ankara summoned the US envoy to Turkey, John Bass, to protest against the remarks by US State Department spokesman John Kirby, who has said that Washington does not see the PYD as a terrorist organization.
