Fox Hill Elementary School in Kansas City called student Kyleigh Bass a "beast" on its PTA Facebook page, and it was meant in the best way possible.
Kyleigh, 10, did a beastly 2,110 sit-ups on Saturday to break the Project Fit America record. Project Fit America promotes fitness at elementary and middle schools across the country, according to its website.
"You have abs of steel!" her mother, Michelle Leer Bass, wrote on the Facebook entry.
According to the local Fox affiliate, Kyleigh hit a wall of nausea about a third of the way through the 90-minute ordeal, but pressed on.
“It’s a mind thing," she told the station. "If you think about it, you can do it and you’ll make it.”
The previous record was 2,001. Way to go, Kyleigh!
